About House in the Wild

A family-run boutique retreat on the Mara River at Enonkishu, where regenerative farming meets safari — ride, walk, and meet the herders rebuilding this frontier.

The area: Enonkishu Conservancy

The northernmost conservancy in the Mara ecosystem — 6,000 acres where conservation, Maasai cattle herding and regenerative farming are deliberately mixed. The “boma to biome” frontier of the Mara.

What it's like

A working landscape rather than a pure game area: ride, walk, meet herders, then game-drive among resident wildlife on the Mara River’s upper reaches.

Getting there & fees

By road from Narok via Mulot or Aitong; Ngerende airstrip is nearby.

Conservancy fees (typically US$100–150 per adult per night) are bundled into camp rates here and paid to Maasai landowning families; reserve entry fees apply only on days you cross into the reserve itself.
