About Lenchada Tourist Camp
A group-safari staple by Oloolaimutia village: simple tents, big mess hall, Maasai dance evenings — the classic first-budget-safari address.
The area: Oloolaimutia Gate area
The reserve’s eastern backpacker corner, a village pass between the hills where the classic budget camps cluster within walking distance of the gate.
What it's like
The cheapest beds in the Mara ecosystem, Maasai village visits and a sociable campfire scene; game drives enter the reserve’s eastern plains directly.
Getting there & fees
By road from Narok via Sekenani or Loita plains; most guests arrive on organised budget safaris from Nairobi.
Camps outside the gates pay reserve fees only on days you enter (US$100–200 per adult, 12-hour ticket, exit by 10am on your final day). Full details in our Masai Mara fee guide.
