About Leopard Hill Camp

Basecamp’s contemporary camp beneath a leopard-frequented hill — each tent’s roof retracts at the touch of a button for in-bed stargazing.

The area: Mara Naboisho Conservancy

A 50,000-acre conservancy created in 2010 by more than 500 Maasai families — “Naboisho” means “coming together” in Maa. It protects a wildlife-rich wedge northeast of the reserve with one of Africa’s densest lion populations.

What it's like

Big cats, big giraffe herds and true exclusivity: fewer than a dozen small camps, walking safaris, night drives and fly-camping. A benchmark for community-owned conservation.

Getting there & fees

Ol Seki or Mara North airstrips, or by road via Talek. Conservancy fees are included in camp rates and paid directly to member families.

Conservancy fees (typically US$100–150 per adult per night) are bundled into camp rates here and paid to Maasai landowning families; reserve entry fees apply only on days you cross into the reserve itself.
